A broad comment, not directed at anyone on this thread- but it's pretty funny some on the fringe left thought this guy and Bradley Manning were heroes. There was even a thread here titled as much iirc. I wonder how they feel now that it's the left he's hurting.

In any case- he's a scumbag, and so is Manning. He chose to make an enemy of the United States, and he continues to be a threat.

I don't disagree with what you are saying, but to me, the amazing thing is the Manning was able to download so much classified information undetected.  Somebody should have been drawn and quartered for this sort of lapse.

I don't remember the reporting on it but you can bet the farm that it was a career ender for more individuals than Manning.
