The stream is up at http://thewoodlandnj.com/mandala
This one works! Thanks, GJ1.
I am not getting the streaming ..I am getting the little piece about mandalas ...
How to connect to today's streaming
Maybe you were trying to get it after they were done for the day? Maybe you can only get live streaming while they are working?
They just live streamed for 3 hours today (as far as I know). If you click on the link to Youtube that I posted at the top of the page, you can view those 3 hours.

What are the visiting hours?
From further up in the thread
Wednesday 12pm - 8 pm
Thursday 12pm - 8pm
Friday 12 pm - 8pm
Saturday 12pm -5 pm, closing ceremony 6-7pm
Like most things, -it is quite a different experience in person. For instance you can't smell the flowers via the link.
I also learned a few things about the process while there:
1. It's apparently "allowable" for the monks to "erase" a part of what they might have just done if they don't like it (for some reason I presumed that it was such a tight discipline that you simply never made mistakes or if you did it would then become part of the end result).
2. The sound that the little steel cone sand-dispersal scrapy things (I'm quite sure that is the correct term) have a meditative quality all on their own which must help with the concentration. -they sound like cicadas in the trees.
3. I don't think I could be a monk. Although the clothing looks comfortable and the chanting is interesting, I still think I would still want to kick-back with a mai-tai and a little Gene Harris occasionally.
Amazing turnout this evening. So much going on. How wonderful for our community
Thank you Joy. These photos start to capture the incredible intricacy in the work. I got there yesterday. The sparkle under the lights really brings another sensation.
OTH, I do sometimes think of cake decoration when I look at this. Not that any cake would be this detailed, but they were adding the white scallopy shapes around the edge...guess I think with my stomach!
@joy - beautiful photos! What lens are you generally using there?
It's such a profound experience, I can't even wrap my head around it. Beyond grateful I have been able to witness this. As gorgeous as these photos are, it's simply more exquisite in person
