The Bee & Thistle may be closed for a couple days.

Ok, it's been a while. Things are moving along and Dad should be out of the hospital in a couple days. Eileen (Mom) will be at the Bee & Thistle tomorrow, Tuesday, 8/25! Dad will follow behind her at a soon and upcoming date. If you are familiar with the Bee & Thistle, one of Maplewood Village's FEW businesses that have been around for 42 years, or if you're not, stop by and give your support to Eileen. She has been through a lot in the last month or so, and would LOVE to see you guys!

I thought your Dad had been home for awhile. When did he go back into the hospital? Please give him (and your Mom) my best and wishes for a speedy recovery.

There were a couple complications, and he was readmitted for a few days.

Sorry to learn of the complications. Glad he is getting the help he needs. Tell him he was deeply missed at the meeting last night.

I would like to thank the MOL'ers that stopped in to see Mom (Eileen) today. She will be at the Bee & Thistle for a few hours tomorrow (10:30 until about 2pm) before she rejoins John (Dad) at Morristown Memorial. Dad seems to be coming around. He's lot a bit of weight, mainly because hospital food sucks, but hey, once he's home, Mom will fatten 'em up, guaranteed. So, the invite is open once again, and Eileen really likes to see people that care show up to the store. John will be back, the man is a machine (just like his son, lol), and many of you will see hi out front in the morning reading his latest book.

I hope your Dad's improvement continues and gains momentum, Deffy. Wish I could stop by... tell your mother MOL is sending virtual support? ><

THE EAGLE HS LANDED! Dad is home after open-heart surgery a couple weeks ago. Seeing him come home today and pull up a chair on the deck was nothing short of AWESOME! The Bee & Thistle will be back in action on TUESDAY 9/1. Mom will be manning the shop, Dad will be a few days behind her. Considering what this Man has been through, he deserves a vacation.

Good news. Lets hope he can remain home this time.

This is great news all around. Best wishes for a speedy recover to your Dad, and to your Mom for a more relaxing autumn then the summer she had.

Today the Bee & Thistle should be open for the first time in a while. Stop by and say hi to Mom, she's been through a lot in the last month or so.
