Sweet Potato Growing Tips?

you need something deeper, richer than that cheese

Usually they’ll grow in sandy soils, but if you want really full, plump tubers you want to be sure that you’ve fully enriched that depth of soil and more to support the growth. Pea straw mulch would work as well as the sugar cane; the only wood chip mulch I know of doesn’t actually break down but prettily covers the soil to suppress weeds. The mulch should also break down into humus, eventually adding to soil texture and nutrition.

lol - that’s too technical! I buy mushrooming kits, grow mushrooms for a season or two then tip the peat into the garden! oh oh

I've been thinking about trying a mushroom kit.  It looks like hit or miss tho, success-wise.  Are they easy to grow?

very easy! Just follow the directions! Some require low/no light, warmth; others want light and drier air. I think oyster mushrooms want light and less humidity so don’t put them in a cupboard.
