The Trump Indictments
Hopefully they come to their senses sooner than later, it’s really embarrassing to watch grown folks doing stupid things like waving a trump flag and holding up placards with grammatical errors… but they will still believe he’s their great white hope… their savior… and they will even claim he’s being sacrificed like Jesus was in the Holy Week leading up to the crucifixion on Friday. He’s their modern day Massiah. This might very well be the infancy of some cult that someday might end up like the Davidians in Waco.

Justice Dept. said to have more evidence of possible Trump obstruction at Mar-a-Lago
"In the classified documents case, federal investigators have gathered new and significant evidence that after the subpoena was delivered, Trump looked through the contents of some of the boxes of documents in his home, apparently out of a desire to keep certain things in his possession, the people familiar with the investigation said.
"Investigators now suspect, based on witness statements, security camera footage, and other documentary evidence, that boxes including classified material were moved from a Mar-a-Lago storage area after the subpoena was served, and that Trump personally examined at least some of those boxes, these people said. While Trump’s team returned some documents with classified markings in response to the subpoena, a later FBI search found more than 100 additional classified items that had not been turned over."

Trump is demanding a high-profile surrender to NY authorities. “He wanted a perp walk, he wanted daylight hours,” one source tells Rolling Stone, “He wants to get out of the vehicle and walk up the stairs.”

It’s apparently a relatively small circus outside the courthouse right now. Pro- and Anti-Trump protestors have been cordoned off into separate areas. Apparently the media outnumber the total number of protestors.
George Santos and MTG both showed up. Apparently MTG tried to give a speech but couldn’t be heard because of lots of crowd noise including people blowing whistles. Apparently it was a Trump supporter who was passing out the whistles and had no idea MTG was even there.

Apparently Santos and Greene have both dipped out. I’m sure they were both there long enough to get photos and video to support their next campaigns.
They say that they are not going to take his mug shot but I certainly hope, given the long list of women who have accused him of sexual assault, that they take a DNA swab.

I believe that is part of the processing yet. I think all people indicted of felonies are by law required to provide a DNA sample.
Trump's legal strategy for today's indictment will be delay, delay, delay.
He's keeping his fingers crossed he will get elected in 2024 and then avoid prosectution for another four years.
Next appearance is scheduled for December 4th. T**** is the master of delay.
I'm looking through the Statement of Facts and I can't see where the Trump Org repaid AMI for suppressing the Karen McDougal story.
Also, the payments to Michael Cohen came in 12 installments, so that leaves at best 22 more felony counts of falsifying business records unexplained.

Wonder how many more indictments there'll be by the time Trump is in court again for these.
The case I'm most hoping to see Trump indicted for, and the one I'd feel the most satisfaction at seeing him convicted on, is the Georgia election interference case.

Cherry on top of today's news in NY: DC Circuit DENIED Trump's attempt to delay his top aides from testifying to federal grand jury about January 6. Mark Meadows, Stephen Miller, Dan Scavino and others have to testify.
looks like we now know that this wasn't just about a possible campaign finance violation. Falsifying records for this reason is going to get a person in legal hot water every time. From the NYT:

Trump on Tuesday laid out an unexpected accusation that bolstered what many legal experts have described as an otherwise risky and novel case: Prosecutors claim he falsified business records in part for a plan to deceive state tax authorities.
a lot of us thought this was kind of a lame case to pursue (especially before the Jan 6, election obstruction and document stealing cases are wrapped up). But criminal tax evasion is a pretty serious charge. And frankly easy to believe when it comes to Trump.
If they get him on these charges it will be because he's such a cheapskate he wouldn't pay out of his own pocket. And then he allegedly got extra greedy and tried to avoid taxes too.
this case is turning out to revolve around everything about Trump that is disgusting.
"With the release of the indictment and accompanying statement of facts, we can now say that there’s nothing novel or weak about this case. The charge of creating false financial records is constantly brought by Mr. Bragg and other New York D.A.s. In particular, the creation of phony documentation to cover up campaign finance violations has been repeatedly prosecuted in New York. That is exactly what Mr. Trump stands accused of."

and to add one other Trumpian detail -- Bragg alleged that Trump was trying to delay the payment to Daniels until after the election, when he could refuse to pay at all. That is so on brand for Trump, to stiff someone he owes. But in this case if it can be proven it undercuts his "I was trying to save Melania from embarrassment" defense.
This is the Trumpiest possible set of circumstances I can imagine.
Well… trump said “I never had to pay anyone for services in my life, and the one time I did, it got me in trouble”
This all could have been avoided if Trump paid Stormy out of his personal funds (or if he didn't cheat in the first place).
There was some beautiful video of Trump moving through the building beforehand where an officer opens the door ahead of him and steps through. Trump, who loves servility in others, assumes the officer is going to hold the door for him but the officer lets go and Trump basically walks into the door.
Instant karma's going to get you.
