The Trump Indictments
Don Snoreleone is not accustomed to being confined to one room for any extended period of time like he is now. He’s never had anyone tell him to sit down, or to shut up. He’s not gonna do well in prison if he gets jailed. I somehow feel we are witnessing the end days of this jackass. It’s kinda ridiculous that he had so much luck and people to keep him out of touch with reality but in the end he’s left to sit in an old miserable courtroom facing ordinary people who don’t give a rodents baxide about him.
It's great that nothing else is happening in the world this week, so all of the news outlets can devote themselves full time to every little blurt, cough, nudge, etc. in the Trump trial courtroom.

Trump was found to be in contempt by Judge Merchan today.
Fined $2000.

Finally heard tape of one of Defendant's comments this morning, imo couldn't be clearer tampering with witness(es). Seems likely any random street thug would be locked up if it could be proved he said anything like that.
eta: otoh, does this mean the judge totally dismissed the other dozen or so instances??
eta again: NYT says $9,000, so apparently judge recognized most instances? Still peanuts, but at least a warning
Yes, 9k seems to be the correct number. WaPo's 1st story only reported 2 but they're now reporting 9.

Apparently $1,000 per violation is the maximum allowed in New York State. Of course, jail could be the next option. We can only dream.

$9,000 ain't a lot, but on top of that, he'll have to attend his son's graduation which he had no intention of doing, so there's some justice.
