Sean Spicer is Out!

But the Mooch is everything you might expect from Trump - slick, rich, well-groomed, and obsequious - said he loved Trump 20 times.

Which is exactly why he'll be indicted with the rest of this mob. I predict he's got dirty stuff going on.

Back to Spicer, I can't believe we are still stuck with Sarah Huckabee Sanders. There were days when Spicer actually tried to have a sense of humor. SHS is yet another in the long line of female surrogates that makes me scream. If we lose Melissa as Spicer can we please have Bobby Moynihan as Sarah?

The thing about Spicer is that even though he lied, lied, lied for trump, he always looked at least a tiny bit uncomfortable about it. Huckabee, on the other hand, is like a pig in mud when she's at that podium.

Spicer's in it for the money. SHS is a true believer.

He won't be indicted, but he's a con man. A con man conning a con.

Ao you think AS is conning DJT?

Do you really care about a little pittance of $180k a year? I'm glad to pay that to NOT see her anymore.

Red_Barchetta said:

Whether you see her or or not, she's still collecting $180,000 per year from you and I.  I'd say she's about as gone as Omarosa who collects the same salary.

I didn't mean literally. She's not seen anymore so, to me, she's essentially gone.

Not until she comes up with a fake excuse to resign. She doesn't have enough dignity to resign on her own, she will find a smokescreen.

I'm not sure how else you would characterize someone who said that he loved Trump 20 times at his press conference last Friday, and then deleted all of his past tweets about Trump  - and Trump fell for it, saying that Scaramucci always wanted to endorse him but couldn't because he wasn't sure that Trump would enter the primary.

Anita Dunn, Obama's communication director, said that while the job of most communications directors is to convey the President's message to the public, Scaramucci's role so far is to tell Trump how great he is.

eta - Let's just say that they're both con men. Anita Dunn got it right.

Makes sense. But to DJT it's not a con. There is no reality. If someone says something good about him, then it's true in his mind.

Spicer reminds me of Ron Ziegler,  who was Nixon's yes man.   Ziegler also pushed the idea of alternate truths.  " That statement is no longer operative"  He was one of the few who did not leave the White House    for jail

Scaramucci replaces Preibus by September.

While he did give love, give love, give love, give love, give love, give love, give love, give love, give love, give love, give love, give love, give love, give love, give love, give love, give love, give love, give love, give love, the 20 times included references to several others in the adminstration, too, not just Trump.

Scaramucci deleted old tweets that showed support for liberal social politics (pro LGBT rights, pro choice) and a strong distaste for Trump. He now says that his views have "evolved". Yeah, right. This guy is a craven opportunist and untrustworthy. He's perfect for the job.

Craven opportunist describes every Republican Senator right now, except maybe Collins.

Yup. But perhaps it also says that Trump is running out of talent on his original 'supporter' list if he's starting to hire those who have previously critiqued him, but now say they've converted to his side.

Yep. I have to agree with that. There are few, if any, Republicans who aren't holding their nose to support Trump.

"In the past eight months, I have never heard anybody express regret for voting for Donald Trump." -- New Yorker staff writer Peter Hessler:

How Trump Is Transforming Rural America

Trump is a problem but he's not the real problem.

The real problem is the base that empowers this odious bunch. Trump's an excretion of that base.

If you have a neighbor that trashes the neighborhood or his house, that constantly violates noise ordinances, that thrashes the neighborhood, and that refuses to listen, you would not be friends or even be polite to that neighbor.

Those who support and empower Trump and ilk should be considered to be the same as a horrible neighbor. They lower the quality of life for all of us. Trying to engage and talk to them did not work. They've been given many opportunities listen and engage and yet they continue their support of and cheer on the odious.

Its time to treat them as they deserve, an odious and very unpleasant neighbor. Someone to be shunned.

Also from Hessler:

In Grand Junction, it was often dispiriting to see such enthusiasm for a figure who could become the ultimate political boom-and-bust. There was idealism, too, and so many pro-Trump opinions were the fruit of powerful and legitimate life experiences. “We just assume that if someone voted for Trump that they’re racist and uneducated,” Jeriel Brammeier, the twenty-six-year-old chair of the local Democratic Party, told me. “We can’t think about it like that.” People have reasons for the things that they believe, and the intensity of their experiences can’t be taken for granted; it’s not simply a matter of having Fox News on in the background. But perhaps this is a way to distinguish between the President and his supporters. Almost everybody I met in Grand Junction seemed more complex, more interesting, and more decent than the man who inspires them.

That's OK then.  grrr

Gee, lets forgive them for screwing us. I often read how sad it is that they vote against their interests.

Guess, what? They also voted against our interests. And it will hurt. A lot.

I really don't give a damn how decent or complex or interesting they're made out to be.

They f***** us.

I don't expect Trump supported to ever express regret for their vote. Saying "sorry" or admitting error or misjudgment is not a Trumpster trait. Quite the opposite it true - it's digging in, being combative and playing the "but what about?" game.

As for Republican politicians, most were anti-Trump until he definitively seized the nomination. So, I imagine most are still deeply anti-Trump in private but will tow-the-line to preserve party unity and protect their re-election chances.

Every ordinary German who voted for the Nazi Party in 1933 was more decent than Hitler, Goering and Goebbels.

Spicer is Father Christmas compared to this slippery scaramucci mobster.

In the Age of Trump, Zeigler's statement was remarkably transparent and honest - relatively speaking.
