Seton Hall and Connecticut will meet for the second time this season and 58th time in history. The Huskies have a 39-18 series lead. Earlier this season, UConn defeated the Pirates, 76-61 in Hartford. Connecticut has won eight straight in the series, 15-of-16 and 22-of-24. Seton Halls last victory in the series came on March 3, 2001. Furthermore, the last time Seton Hall played the #1-ranked team in the nation their opponent was Connecticut. The Huskies defeated the Pirates that day, 99-57, on Feb. 11, 2006.

The Pirates have lost two straight to Top-10 teams following a five-game win streak. Most recently, Seton Hall lost at Marquette, 79-67, on Tuesday. Sophomore Jeremy Hazell scored a team-high 23. The Red Storm has lost five straight, a streak that started with a 91-81 loss at Seton Hall on Feb. 5. Most recently, St. Johns lost to Duke at MSG, 76-69, on Thursday. Sophomore Paris Horne leads the Red Storm with 14.7 points per game.
THE MATCHUP: Seton Hall and St. Johns will meet for the 85th time with the Red Storm holding a 53-31 all-time series lead. The Pirates, however, have faired well lately in the series, winning six of their last eight games with St. Johns including a 91-81 victory earlier this season. Seton Hall lost at Carnesecca Arena last season on a last second buzzer-beater.

THE MATCHUP:
Seton Hall and USF will meet for only the sixth time in history on Wednesday. The Pirates have never lost to USF and are a perfect 5-0 including last seasons two-game sweep. The game features two of the best sophomores in the BIG EAST, Seton Halls Jeremy Hazell and USFs Dominique Jones.
Jeremy Hazell reached the 1,000 career point mark as a sophomore. He is only the fifth player in Seton Hall history to reach the plateau in only two seasons, joining Terry Dehere, Nick Werkman, Ken House and Darius Lane. With 19 more points (1,019), he will move into third place, behind only Dehere and Werkman, for most points in a Pirates first two seasons.

Pirates Pre-Season Basketball:
Friday is the first running of the Bunnys Bus to the Rock! The bus will arrive to Bunny's at 6pm for pick up of fans who wish to attend the first pre-season basketball game at the Pru Center in Newark against St. Peters. This bus will operate for all home games. Anyone with a Seton Hall ID may ride the Bunnys Bus and guests who mention the secret password (Pizzaz Rocks :bigsmile will board. We are very excited to support this endeavor to bring attendees to the Prudential Center. The bus will pick up from Pru Center following the game and return to Bunnys. Also, a Seton Hall representative will be on the Bus for both trips. So get out your Blue - it's time once again to play b-ball at the Rock!
If you'd like to be coached to a game and avoid the parking expense, the boarding time has arrived. Parents and kids are welcomed! Bunny's Pre-Game Happy Hour begins at 4pm. See ya!

The guy Herb Pope is 6'9" and 235 pounds of basketball skill. The Pirate motto this year is "Its Our Time. Were about ten men deep instead of six deep as last year - now we have to prove it on the court. I'll know better once we get through January.
