I really was laughing, but found it a tad scary that Tom would joke of such things
(When I read the thread aloud to D, he was laugh-crying and nearly falling off the sofa)
(In my neck of the woods we've just had a man arrested for chopping up a 16yr old and driving around with her body in a barrel in his van. And male Senators call female Senators vile slurs in Parliament and then in the media. And ageing TV 'stars' joke about paedophilia during an award ceremony, after a football commentator joked obscenely about his mate's wife's labour pains - I need your humour!)
Perfect! Imported? Subject to a tariff?

If Murphy legalizes recreational marijuana, maybe we can carry and smoke at the same time?
Merikuh!!

I'm ready for it. My Hyundai has lane maintenance. If the lines on the highway are visible, I can take my hands off the steering wheel and the car will keep in the lane. This is good for a minute and then it starts beeping at me to wake up.
Now one minute is just enough time to roll a joint if you put the stuff on the console next to you before you put it in drive.
you do realise it’s nearly midnight here and now I won’t sleep for a second night, wondering how you know this???
(This thread is better than tv, and almost reminds of that wonderful novella MOL wrote a few years back, a sentence at a time...)
Late to this thread. (Got sidetracked recounting nationwide Democratic primary votes.) Joanne’s right. Joanne’s always right.
Remember I said that, joanne, when all these toys come out and, a Qantas flight time’s interim later, you hear a knock on your door. No way I’m sticking around to see how Morganna steers a Stryker.
Not knowing Morganna IRL, but based on this thread I imagine she'll steer it with her knees while firing an AK out the window just to be sure.
The Australian macropod squad commander (sometimes known to lurk near @marksierra’s town) approves. The northern wing have recently fitted avian and possum troops with new army boots, and commenced silent night exercises on roofs. In readiness for those rumoured uprisings. D said that armour should work well with the ferals. Not sure how the Bunnies will manage though, they’re so subversive.
I’m sure we can find a way to get Border Force & ICE to help us help you - remember, our emergency services constantly fly over to assist you in fires, floods, etc.

Armored Personnel Carriers are going to be the next big thing in suburban transport. First, they're high up so you can see past those pesky SUVs. Secondly, you can fit your family of 5 in there - with room to spare, quiverfull parents - and they have wheels instead of treads so you won't tear up your driveway.
Also, with the optional reactive armor, you won't have a problem with Formerlyjerseyjack's bazooka, or if you choose slat armor you'll make it to soccer practice no matter how near the ISIS roadside bomb goes off.
Your kids will finally be safe from all external horrors in your brand new APC, especially once you've taught little Becky how the .50 cal in the cupola works!
If we all drive tracked vehicles, rough roads won't really be a problem.
Our roads have been melting. Literally.
You’re going through a heatwave - you keep complaining about the need to improve infrastructure. Are your roads up to the pressure??

We'll find that out after Trump's Military Parade.
Whatcha got against cops?
