Would you be ok with your 17 or 18 year old going to Rolling Loud with friends and chaperone?

Would you be ok with your 17 or 18 year old going to Rolling Loud with friends and chaperone? Or would you be if you had a junior or senior in high school?   Travis Scott,  Meek Mill, Wu-Tang Clan, Asap Rocky, Lil Uzi Vert headliners       Was just checking out the lyrics of some of their biggest hits and they are horrible.

I'd be totally OK with it.

If you don't trust the chaperone?       No.      (Why do 17 or 18 year olds need a chaperone)?

If you don't like the lyrics; well, my folks didn't much like Jim Morrison's musings on life. (So ist das leben).

You worry about the lyrics of a song for 17 and 18 year olds? I think that ship has sailed.

When I was 16 my very strict parents allowed me to go by bus to the Port Authority and then subway to Yankee Stadium. In the Summer of Sam. And it was the right decision. Kids need to grow up and be independent.

My parents didn't like Rolling Stones lyrics. I'm a mom of two WTC-loving young adults and agree that a HS junior or senior needs no chaperone and in fact should be making his or her own way to concerts. This one is easy to get to by public transportation.

For more on the lyrics, I recommend the explications at genius.com.

They are past the age to have lyrics censored and they are going to hear them anyway, whether live in concert or otherwise. And they are old enough to go without a chaperone.

I’d have no problem if these are normal teenagers but your mention of a chaperone leads me to ask if these are special needs children you’re concerned about?

In which case you’d have to go by whatever age they’re functioning at, not their chronological age...

No problem. If they are interested in college, they will soon be college bound and without chaperones. And, as far as the lyrics, forget about taking that on.

I do have to say that a couple of friends of mine were in Vietnam at the age of 18. They dealt with a lot more than harsh language.
