What happened to the "green highlighting" of quotes?

The like button is blue if you haven't clicked it.  But once you click it, it changes color and a green box shows the number of likes.  Like this:

Doesn't work. I guess it doesn't like me.

Appears to be working - the real test is that the next quote will be unique:

Its seems formatting in quotes are an issue. Line breaks being dropped.
