What happened to the "green highlighting" of quotes?

Jamie,

Quotes are no longer shown highlighted in any of my browsers (Vivaldi, Opera, Edge). They just show as regular input text.

Works fine in Firefox

I take that back.  Looks good in the preview but not the display.

It's the same on Chrome on my Android.

It makes the threads where people have quoted each other 10 times even harder to read.

That's odd.  (testing to see how they look on PC)

If only people could avoid doing this.

Yep.  All good.  Now if I could only get the text to start BELOW the quote instead of above, I’d be in business.

You can, as I did here. Youjust have to move your cursor (or touch your finger on mobile) wherever you want to type.

Another request @jamie, could the developers tweak the code so we didn't get three lines of space between each quoted name and the following one?

here's a weird one.  In another thread, I tried to put a quote from an article in the quote box.  But every time I did, when I hit "reply" it replaced the text in the box with a quote from another person's post instead.  And every time I edited it to put the quote I wanted in the box, when I hit reply, it would replace it with the quote from the other post.  so strange.

That is an odd one - did this happen via mobile or desktop?

desktop.  every time I edited it, it still quoted joanne's post a second time in my post.

Was the errant quoted post immediately before or after the one you intended to include?

there was other text in between the two quotes

hmm, So I think you said - everything looked fine prior to submitting and upon submit the quotes combined.  hmm.   if we could duplicate the issue here - that would be helpful.  grin

Green highlighting failed on my most recent post a couple of minutes ago.
