sure it can pitch correct, but does it actually make someone's voice sound good?
My wife still teaches lessons in Maplewood. She now goes to students' homes. She graduated from Westminster Choir College with honors, with a degree in Vocal Pedagogy, and she really knows her stuff.
She can help with a huge variety of styles, having sung rock, jazz, classical, renaissance, opera.

My husband and I are opera singers and have also taught voice for the Papermill Playhouse for over 15 years. Edited to add that my husband writes and sings rock/pop. He has an album out, distributed by Sony Red, so we teach all genres.
If it's rock and roll you want to sing - they teach voice at School of Rock in Chatham and the program overall is incredible

Vanessa Parvin of June Studio. She's a wonderful and very supportive teacher! http://www.thejunestudio.com/The_June_Studio_For_Voice_And_Piano/Home.html

After an absence of singing for a while, a plan from Alex of lessons and coaching on audition material, I'm now a member of The New York City Gay Men's Chorus! (And having a blast). Call him... He's fantastic!
