well, we got Kentucky largely because of a libertarian spoiler, which every news account I've read so far conveniently ignores. So I don't think it informs 2020 very much.
And LA is just weird.

So Kentucky and Louisiana, two states Trump won handily in 2016, now have governors who are Democrats. It's pretty amazing and shows the right candidate has a chance in some areas which seem unassailable.
The question is how do these elections inform the presidential race?
