Trump just said: We're breaking records environmentally

This is great news - though he didn't say in which direction.  So technically this statement could be true.

Does anyone know that facts as to which way we're "breaking records"?

His comments on Prince Charles and climate change were eye opening as well.

“What he really wants and what he really feels warmly about is the future,” Trump said of Prince Charles. “He wants to make sure future generations have climate that is good climate, as opposed to a disaster, and I agree. I did mentioned a couple of things. I did say, ‘Well, the United States right now has among the cleanest climates there are, based on all statistics.’ And it’s even getting better because I agree with that. I want the best water, the cleanest water —crystal clean, crystal clean air.”

“I think we had a great conversation, and it was about — as you would call it — climate change,” Trump said of his meeting with Prince Charles. “I’ll tell you what moved me is his passion for future generations. He’s really not doing this for him. He’s doing this for future generations. And this is real. He believes that.”

I read yesterday that CO2 levels in the atmosphere are the highest ever recorded. So we are setting a record

An interesting way of looking at things, I suppose.  The cleanest climate....

Unfiltered Trump says whatever comes to his mind so I am sure that he actually believes this  Prince Charles, having grown up under the shadow of his father, is the opposite so I doubt we will see such candor from him but it would still be interesting to be a fly on the wall when he describes the conversation to Camilla.

Here's a good list to show how Trump is "winning" in regards to dismantling environmental policy:

Perhaps our Air and Water quality are good due to prior policy.  But Trump isn't really doing his best to maintain our standards.

We have the best climate.

After Zinke's star turn at Interior and Trump's assault on regulations, I'm sure we're breaking records.

He seems genuinely surprised that Charles cares so much for someone else rather than himself
