Apparently the police outpost is not a deterrent to the nascar drivers out there.
The location was about 100 ft from the daycare center. The accident was close to 3:00, when parents were picking up their kids from the school. Accidents at that location are a frequent occurrence,
I wrote to Joe D to request some kind of traffic control. Never got an answ .... well, actually I did. Do you see any kind of new traffic control at that site?
There is a long interrupted stretch of several blocks. I wonder if another traffic light would help slow down traffic.
The yellow circles are existing traffic lights.

Nah. Water gave yo that idea?
There's an accident a week at Manny's corner in Vauxhall. Nobody addresses that either.

I blame most of the issues at Manny's intersection on terrible road design.
It’s dicey trying to make a left unto Irvington avenue from the shopping center. Cars are zipping by in both directions constantly. The day care is right there also. Maybe some speed bumps is what’s needed.
As for manny’s, the traffic lights should be programmed for “one at a time” green lights, like west orange.

Re: Manny's, a simple left turn signal out of Valley onto Springfield Ave.
Irvington Ave, try coming out of Essex and make a left onto Irvington.. a blind curve, made worse by the hedge on the corner property which further serves to block vision of oncoming cars. Add to that, the average speed is 35 to 40.

They could install a traffic light at Irvington and Essex. That would allow traffic from the side neighborhood to turn onto Irvington and slow down traffic to and from Ivy Hill Plaza.

Right now, traffic control is limited to one poor soul, walking in the middle of the street during pre-school opening and dismissal. He is employed by the pre-school.
When he is out, assisting parents, the neighborhood is treated to the sound of blowing horns and an occasional crash. Sooner or later, a pedestrian or pedestrian with child, is gonna get creamed. But no one seems to give a rat's a$$.

Driveway to Ivy Hill Plaza -- car flipped on it's side.
