Also voted today and plan to everyday! I also remind my children to do so everyday. Please vote! It only takes a few seconds of your time.
Thanks everybody!

?? How do you (I) vote if you do not have a Face Book account?? I doubt that I am the only one that does not FB.
Maybe I am wrong, but I believe you have to vote via your Facebook account only. It's their way to make sure people only vote once a day.
No FB account, no vote. That Sux!
I hope they do not toss my brick.
I just went up to the first page and tired both links, both sent me to FB. Do you have a non-FB link
I don't think there is one. It was explained early in one of these threads that Facebook was used to deter the use of bots in influencing the voting. If you truly want to support this cause, perhaps you could sign up for Facebook just for the purpose of casting votes for causes like this and not use it otherwise.

We will not toss your brick. State Farm says that they are doing the voting via Facebook to ensure that only "real" people are voting and that everyone only votes their allotted 10 votes per day (and also to spread buzz about state Farm Neighborhood assist via social media).

Yes my father who has resisted Facebook for years signed up just for these 2 weeks in order to vote and he will probably delete his account afterwards (unless Facebook sucks him into their vortex like everyone else).
We've slipped back down to 15th place and I think voter fatigue may be setting in.
Please remember to vote every day through June 3rd. The link is http://tinyurl.com/SORS2015 or http://southorangerescuesquad.org/vote
easy as falling off a log. Voting that is. (and if you do fall off the SORS will be right there to fix you up!!
8 MORE VOTING DAYS TO GO!
We're entering the final (and most critical) week. Thank you all for your support.

Hello,
I already posted something in South Orange Specific but wanted to create some other threads seeing as how we also cover Maplewood and the surrounding communities (and we need the entire community's help).
The South Orange Rescue Squad is in the final round of obtaining a $25,000 grant as part of the State Farm Neighborhood Assist grant program-- but we can only do it with your help.
4,000 causes from across the country submitted applications to State Farm for grants to improve their communities. Of those 4,000, the top 200 were selected for the final round, and of those, the top 40 will each get the grant. The top 40 is being decided by online votes.
That is where you come in-- we need everyone to vote EVERY DAY through June 3rd (when the voting closes) by going to
http://tinyurl.com/SORS2015
or http://southorangerescuesquad.org/vote
Please share this with as many people as possible and help make it go "viral". We need the support of the entire community voting EVERY DAY to stay in the top 40. (We are currently #14 but it changes by the hour).
This grant will go towards the rebuilding of our headquarters which is currently under construction. Our old building was torn down to make room for the 3rd and Valley development. the developer contributed funds to replace our old building but it is not enough to complete the project.
So please share the links http://tinyurl.com/SORS2015 or http://southorangerescuesquad.org/vote and encourage everyone you know to vote daily though 6/3. Everybody gets 10 votes daily which can all be used at the same time. It only takes about 5 seconds per day!
Thank you,
Dan Cohen
