Veld. I feel like I made a Gabor sister joke about that one one time.
Oh well…

I don't know if veld was a word I had in my brain from seeing if before or if it was just a guess. But I figured that was the one you didn't have.
My last was voodoo and I would have been kicking myself if I had missed it.

Four misses yesterday.
Titivate, titivated, veld, and veldt.
Who came up with that word list- one of the Gabor sisters?!

I always knew it as ending with a "t" and was surprised to learn this spelling of it.

a Valentine's Day QB for me today...
congrats. I am currently -1 and feeling cautiously optimistic that the last one will come to me.
I've been striking out lately. I think I might be preoccupied... ::Sigh::

Just got QB after being stymied for a little while.
I am not going to get it today. And tomorrow when I see the word I missed I'm going to be kicking myself
I got the QB by using the hints. I had no idea there was an alternate spelling for a word I already had.

Yeah, that alt spelling got me too. I don’t look for them. Hard to do so when you don't know they exist.

yup. Hiccupped and hiccuped
The single p violates everything we're taught about spelling

The alternate spelling words are annoying. If I had any say, I'd recommend choosing just one.

Wouldn’t be hard to write the algorithm to credit either one but not accept both.
I just got to QB today...second time for me this week. I can go weeks, if not months, without a QB so this is quite an accomplishment for me

Congratulations! I got QB today, too. First time in forever...
Just got QB today, too - it's been quite a while since the last. For some reason, today's letters just fell into place very easily. Some days it's a very different story!
Just got QB! One kinda-odd word, but very doable,
Missed by one yesterday. Homonymy? Never wood have gotten that extra “y.”

I too missed "homonymy" yesterday, but it wasn't my only miss

I got to Genius, but missed about 6-7 words. Homonymy was one. But I also didn't know "anyhoo" is a real word. Nor did I suspect hogan and yang are words aside from proper names. Well, now I know.

Well done!
I take issue with homonymy. It’s like adding -ish to a word.

Whoa. As soon as I typed that, the last word popped into my head. First QB in a couple of months
