in other news, a woman was ticketed for taking a leisurely drive which violates stay at home....except for necessities....driving around looking for bears wouldn't be a necessity.....although the article didn't say how far from home she was and if she was stopping (ie bathroom or food breaks)....i would home common sense prevails and as long as you are still in or near your hometown, it won't be 'illegal'.

Is this in NJ? I am doubtful that this is true. Please post the source if you have one.

Yes, we saw bears in the windows on our walk today in Maplewood. We were wondering why they were there, and now we know.
I read about it in Next Door. I have no Teddy Bears but I've got a helluva huge Yoda and a cute character from Where the Wild Things Are. I think I'll add my menagerie to the hunt.
if you don't have an actual Teddy Bear, how about printing a pic and posting it in a window? or if you are creative, you can fold a towel into a teddy bear like they do at fancy hotels.
It's happening all over the world - in the UK, New Zealand, even Australia!

My life size Yoda and my Wild Thing have crashed the party. People on Next Door are sharing what streets they are on. Last count Beech Spring in South Orange had 44.
I have mine in my window but I may have them sitting in chairs on my front porch when they get cabin fever.
My Grinch is insisting on joining the party but since he is in Christmas attire, I am carefully considering his request. Fortunately Yoda's Christmas attire was removable.

I read about this today and wondered if children in SOMA were playing. If so, I'll put some stuffed animals in the windows (the cats are already there).
