In case you hit the WaPo pay wall: http://www.nbcnews.com/meet-the-press/video/conway-press-secretary-gave-alternative-facts-860142147643

We journey into a land whose boundaries are that of imagination.

Alternative facts, alternative reality....

Is the proper response to keep pounding the actual facts or to make up our own?

What % of the crowds at the inauguration were employees of Trump businesses who were ordered to be there or were paid to be there?

How many were Russians?

And let the black out of info, true or alternate, begin.

Sean Davis of The Federalist, tweet:

Here's the thing, media: you're done. Trump's presidency is proof you're done. You declared war on him, and you lost. Nobody trusts you.

There is a school of thought that says we are just part of a huge simulation controlled by vastly superior beings. With advent of Trump, maybe that is what is happening -- we are just part of a simulation dreamt up by really sadistic beings!

And here's the guy who will bring peace to the Middle East.

I know it sounds crazy but l keep telling people to flood the media with tweets emails love letters and Valentine's on Feb. 14th. I can picture Maddow making it into something hilarious. Give her advance notice. Send to MSNBC and CNN and make it wacky. Maybe the Times and the Washington Post. Just the reporting alone would make Trump crazy. Conway tells Chuck Todd the media has only 14% approval, so if Trump is trying to drive a wedge between the press and the public let him know it's not going to happen. And they could use a little encouragement.

Really?? Is this for real? OMG. Who ARE these people? Do they know what this country stands for? Is he saying he does not want a free press? What EXACTLY is he saying? What is the end game? Truly. What are they trying to accomplish? Explicit authoritarianism? What for?

This is the mindset of putting party and self interest first and the nation second (or maybe third or fourth). This group doesn't care about Americans in our totality; they care about their agenda and winning. Winning may also mean lying and cheating in order to win, and that's okay with them. By any means necessary will they walk away the victor. To hell with the greater of majority who loses.

Yeah sure. question

If anything, the media gave Trump a pass on many things when he was running. Unlike the job they did on Clinton where they hyperventilating on everything.

um, The Federalist is part of "the media."

The guy's gotten by on lies and hate and risen to the presidency. Baghdad Sean and Baghdad Kellyanne are longtime DC'ers who absolutely know what they're doing in presenting alternative facts.

For Trump believers, the objective realities of a Trump presidency will take time to filter down.

um, The Federalist is part of "the media."

That's the most ironic piece in this "war." AM radio spews hate all day; websites buzz with bullsiht; Daily Caller, Brietbart, et. al. make things up; FOX is, well, FOX. But they're not "the media."

So the question is: who are "the media"?

We all are now.

Maybe he has just seen films that show that alternative paths for history exist.

anyone who doesn't worship Dear Leader

It's "alternative facts" not "alternate." I was waiting for someone to point this out, and here it is:

A SMALL POINT OF USAGE CONCERNING THOSE “ALTERNATIVE FACTS”

Never pass up a teaching moment.

Recently, some of my friends have spoken of “alternate facts,” and others of “alternative facts.”
There is traditionally a difference between the adjectives “alternate” and “alternative.” “Alternate,” as in, say, “alternate fact checker,” refers to a fact checker who takes turns with another fact checker: six months on, six months off. Think of the verb “to alternate”: “to perform by turns or in succession.” [continued...] http://www.newyorker.com/culture/culture-desk/a-small-point-of-usage-concerning-those-alternative-facts

my alternative facts indicate that alternative and alternate can be used interchangeably.

Not unless there's an alternative juror. Or an alternate options.

If Trump's spokespersons can have alternative facts we ought to be able to have an alternative President.
