Hey all. One of the construction cranes collapsed across the Tappan Zee bridge. A couple of people were injured but no fatalities. The bridge is closed in both directions.
I know most people don't commute that way but this is going to wreak havoc on the whole area. People are going to be diverted to the GWB from both directions which will play merry hell with 80, the Turnpike and 287. People are being diverted from the NYS thru way in Tuxedo Park. If they are heading for NYC that means 80 to the GWB or down to the Lincoln.
