Local dispensary that is NOT Apothecarium?

I like Rise in Bloomfield but it's a schlepp.  Has anyone ordered from URB'N in Newark?  They deliver so I might check it out.  Any other suggestions are appreciated.

There are two in Maplewood Village.

Two?  I've been going to Apothcarium, and I have no complaints, other than the price. Where is/are the other[s]?

There's Noiré on Maplewood Avenue, and up Highland there's Cannaboss (sp?) Lady.

I only buy from state-licensed dispensaries. Scared to death of fentanyl.

I haven't been to Cannaboss Lady yet, but Noire is nice. Much smaller than Apoth. You can order online and they'll hold your order for 24 hours, you just pay when you get there. Hope that helps.

holymoly,

If you don't mind the question; why do you seek to avoid Apothecarium?

I went to the place on Highland Ave yesterday.  Was the first and only time I've been to one of these places (I actually never bought pot in my life and was never much of a smoker). Trying gummies for a neuropathic pain condition.    Cute place, very nice people.

Apothecarium can be a bit of a zoo depending on the day and time. Constant confusion with parking too, makes Springfield Ave even more annoying than it already was! But the people are nice.

Farther afield (since parking in the village can be a pain), there are a couple on Route 22. Ayr in Union (near Walmart) is one. Just remember to bring cash...I got charged by my bank for a "non-network ATM" fee. Bah humbug.

Or, one can just order online from "Mood" (https://hellomood.com) and have it delivered to your mail box.  Not something I do often, but very convenient and I've been pleased with my purchases.

I was in the City yesterday, around the Chelsea neighborhood, and even I was surprised at how all the previous "smoke shops" were hyping their weed and accessories and how many new ones were open.  Didn't catch a "whiff" from anyone walking by me.  No real change in the number of "staggerers" than one would encounter on a normal day on NYC streets.

ETA:
I've been informed that I am not in a position to be making "recommendations" on what or where to make one's legal, but recreational weed purchases.  Not "experienced enough", I guess.  So feel free to not follow in my footsteps -- just carry on.    I know you're all big enough to make your own decisions on the subject.  Research is always appropriate.  Everyone have fun and be safe...

caveat emptor

hellomood.co (not .com, though you will get properly redirected if you use .com) sells products containing Delta 8 THC, a chemical similar to Delta 9 THC, which is what's in legalized cannabis.

Delta 8 is kind of in a legal gray zone, and that's why you can get it through the mail regardless of weed's legal status in your state, unless your state has explicitly banned or restricted it. New Jersey has no restrictions.

The manufacture of Delta 8 products is unregulated. The main difference seems to be that it's significantly weaker than Delta 9. Also, since it's unregulated, I guess there's a bigger chance of getting a dicier product.

I'd suggest reading through some of these articles before deciding to order from hellomood

Take a vacation to Amsterdam, like I did about 25 years ago, get some seeds and grow your own. It’s a beautiful plant, and you know for sure what you’re getting. Some of the stuff out there could kill you.

Like tomatoes, weed plants need a lot of sun and a lot of water. This clime isn't ideal for it. Having said that, I helped a friend in North Adams, MA harvest some wonderful stuff last year.
