A Band’s Visit - A-
Hamilton - A
Beautiful - B+
The Booknof Mormon - A
Wicked - A
True West, revival of the Sam Shepard play, this time with Ethan Hawke and Paul Dano. Very good. Runs through mid-March at Roundabout Theatre Company.
Network is an amazing play with in a play about and using media/video!!! Stunning
Mockingbird equally stunning in a more traditional theater way.
Also some buzz about the Kerry Washington role and play
Best Regards
Ron Carter
Saw Network last week and it was brilliant. Bryan Cranston made it all come to scary and beautiful light.
I give "beautiful" an A
my fair lady is also very good ( with norbert leo)!
Saw Kinky Boots tonight. It was fun. I recommend it. Got tickets on today's tix for $55. A lot of empty seats - we were able to upgrade ourselves at intermission. Most ushers don't care if you do this. It's closing soon.
Tonight had a pretty cool moment - after the curtain call - representatives from the Smithsonian came out to induct a pair of Kinky Boots into the Smithsonian. Cyndi Lauper came out as well.
I saw The Ferryman - I liked it - but was really struggling with the Irish accents. I needed subtitles
Anyone see Hillary and Clinton with John Lithgow and Laurie Metcalf? That was playing next to The Ferryman - looks interesting.

Network is next on our list.

Interestingly, as soon as used the hearing device that they have, I no longer struggled with the accents!
Finally got around to see Network - fantastic! Only one week left - go see it if you can!
I saw Fiddler On The Roof last Friday totally in Yiddish. One of the best productions I’ve see in a while
I’m going to see Waitress tomorrow night. I’ll let you know
Oklahoma - I liked it a lot but you won’t if you want the traditional version.
Beauty and the Beast at Papermill is terrific.
Waitress. Don't quite know what the fuss is about. LilMissLL wanted to see Jeremy Jordan. He was okay. Shoshana Bean has a great voice but she irked me. Show played on a lot of stereotypes. Sorry but..ehhh.
Yeah - we saw it - seems to be a vehicle to appeal to teenage girls. Were there a lot of teenagers screaming at certain scenes throughout the play? I was curious about it and got pretty cheap standing room only tickets. Overall production was fine, but ehhh is a good description.

OMG..There was a whole SCHOOL LOAD of teenage girls with their chaperones. LilMiss liked it and I like time with her so it was worth it but..No HP or Hamilton that's for sure
Caught “My Fair Lady” before it closes this week. Great production. The alternate Eliza, Kerstin Anderson, held her own with the Tony-nominated Harry Hadden-Paton, who rivaled Rex Harrison as Professor Higgins. And no one touches Wilfrid Hyde-White as Colonel Pickering, but Allan Corduner came as close as humanly possible.

Agreed, but good luck getting tix. It closes this week and is pretty well sold out.
I've been invited to see Hadestown this week. I'm not a Broadway theater guy so I don't know much about it.
We saw "All My Sons" last week--it's an acting class with a great story. Loved it.

I know someone who just saw it and said it was fantastic- it won 8 Tony’s including best musical - enjoy and let us know how it was.

Thanks, Jamie. I can't remember the last Broadway show i went to but I was invited to see this show as a guest. I will post my feedback.
I was bummed out that I missed Jeff Daniels in To Kill A Mockingbird - but very happy with his replacement - Ed Harris. Hope to make it one of these weeks!
I saw Beeteljuice - it was ok. Set was great - story a bit weak.
If you like David Byrne - go see American Utopia! I had ok seats. Actually - they were a little too close.

Would love to hear what everyone has seen recently. I'm curious to hear any feedback on Network with Bryan Cranston.
I finally went to see Avenue Q - it's closing in April - it's funny, very well done.
Come From Away was great.
Dear Evan Hanson and Hamilton are two I would like to see.
