That’s all fine and well but I think the following is the more relevant passage for our current situation. 

“in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth”

I thought it was funny (in a good way) that over here at 7:30am yesterday there were loads of people huddles over picnic breakfasts to watch a baseball game in the drizzling rain This was around the corner from me in the local sports field. 

Around 7pm, under lights and again in the rain, in the next suburb, there was an American football match (I think for under-17s).
