SOMA Studio Tour is Today! And Free!

I wanted to remind everyone that the South Orange/Maplewood Artists Studio Tour is today. This the day when local artists let us see their work in their spaces or at local galleries and spaces around town. Check out the site to meet this year's participating artists and locations. Don't forget to bring your pocketbooks as lots of great art will be for sale.

This is a great chance not just to support local talent, but to meet and chat with artists and perhaps see some of their works in progress and techniques they use to create their pieces.

I made it to a few places today--after I went to Durand Hedden for Gruning's history, ice cream and "original recipe" fudge sauce! Both events were fabulous and well attended. Did I mention that DH served ice cream and fudge sauce? Yum-my!

The artistic picture taken by ridski looked fine on the studio wall, but when I put the dowel into the frame that came with it and stood it on a table a home, the picture was upside-down. Is it too late to get my money back?

Well, that is what we call in the art business a rookie mistake. If you would like me to reframe it, I'll be more than happy to. Thanks for pointing that out for me, though!

Heh, nah. I may not know an Instagram from a Kodachrome, but I'm a wiz at taking the back off a picture frame.
