so - I'm watching Fox News every now and then

Just thought I'd share random thoughts when I tune in.

For instance - they're talking about how Biden is botching the vaccine rollout.  They caught Joe saying that everyone who wants a vaccine will be able to by the Spring.

Next - impeachment is merely a media led waste of time.

what do you expect?

That's a great question.  I guess I was waiting for their takes on certain subjects that actually matter - like the vaccine rollout.  But in the end it's all spin.  Their "experts" are always trolling and are the most controversial figures on given subjects.

I'm mainly trying to understand how conservatives think the way they do and based on what they're presented - I get it.  It's a very narrow and skewed POV.

And the other side does it as well.  But their reporting tends to be a bit more researched let's say.

I check with FOX as well. Trying to keep track of the news half the country is watching. It's not only what they are discussing, it is what they are not covering.

I avoid Hannity, Ingraham, and Carlson but will stop to watch Wallace, Faulkner, and Cavuto for a look at what is being reported to FOX viewers.

my mom ( 86 in march) told me the other day that Biden is getting bashed by many people-then I walked past her TV which had on fox news ( ugh)

So Sean kicked off things with a montage of Dems using the word "fight".  Which is the word blamed for the capital insurrection.  Forward a bit later - last question to Eric trump was - would you support your dad for 2024.  His response - "what my father did is something no other political figure did in American history, he changed this country - he changed it for the better - he taught people how to FIGHT and gave American the greatest civic lesson.  He's a father to America."

Then they got on Psaki's case for responding to a lot of questions that "she'd circle back to them".  Well, Kayleigh went 400 days without even holding a briefing.

By the way, the other "outrage" about Psaki is that her staff asked reporters in advance what topics they were going to ask about, so she could get ready to respond.  That's also "bad".

Guess what you missed if you were only watching Fox News:

Fox News programmers decided to largely ignore slain Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick lying in state in the Capitol Rotunda.

Sicknick died of head injuries sustained on January 6 while he defended the Capitol from pro-Trump insurrectionists who stormed the building in a violent attempt to overturn the 2020 election.

I checked in on Laura Ingraham's opening to see if they were covering it.  Her top story was how states run by Democratic governors are "crumbling."

Here is a newsmax anchor walking off set because he can't stand listening to the mypillow guy anymore:

I wouldn't give the anchor too much credit here.  Newsmax already got into some legal trouble with Dominion over all the crap they'd been broadcasting about the election. I'm sure that was on his mind here.

The video is a pisser though. Lindell is a real wackaloon.

I was wondering why Newsmax was so eager to shut the pillow guy up.  I forgot about the lawsuit.  Pre-lawsuit he would have been on the front page.

Instead here's the top story on Newsmax:

I guess it should read Blue Lives Sometime Matter
