Saturday July 29th
Heat Advisory.
Today should be the last day of the heat wave, as a cold front will move through the area bringing likely showers and possibly a thunderstorm this afternoon and evening. Next week looking more reasonable with highs around 80⁰ and moderate humidity.
Air quality Good this morning. Ozone rising later today likely to cause quality to rise to Moderate.
Glad this wave has abated.
PSA: can we all please do what we can to try to fix this before it's too late? By that I mean weather is now political and even this thread has to have someone here - me for now - say something about the fact that there is still a large swath of Republicans in power thanks to the Koch brothers, etc. who think this is just a normal heat wave. No it is not. Smart news programs are now starting to always state this is just going to get worse. I think this should be done here. Not saying Max needs to do so but I sure as heck will.
