Thanks Max, hoping we don't lose power!

We lost power (Courter Avenue) ever so briefly ...

That was anticlimatic.  No lightning, minimal thunder  question

So did we.  Affected FIOS. Had to run diagnostic a few times to get Internet and TV back.

Good.

The radar shows another line of storms out in western PA right now. Is that heading this way?

According to the FEMA app - yes, we have a severe thunderstorm watch until 10pm.  Of course, I don't believe anything until I hear it from Max.

I don't believe anything until I see it out my window.

NWS has cancelled the Severe Thunderstorm Watch for our area.

There may still be a few lingering showers, but nothing to worry about.

There is power down in parts of Montrose, near between Grove rd and Scotland Rd

this was loads of fun. Attempting to land after a 5 HR flight then airports closed so diverted to Boston bc low on fuel. 3 1/2 hrs on the ground, on the plane in Boston not able to get off. Back to JFK. Really fun.

But worse for 9 people on the plane who were connecting in JFK to Boston- customs wouldn't allow them off the plane when we diverted to Boston!  They had to sit on the plane, fly back to JFK and overnight bc no more planes to Boston until tomorrow. Double ugh for them!

We had some fun with this in central CT. At least one thunder-boomer rattled doors and windows and sent the cats running. No loss of power, thank goodness, although it played havoc with our evening's DVR plans.
