Ricalton Square mailbox question

Are pickups still being made from the out-of-town mailbox in Ricalton Square? I put something in there 10 days ago and it has not yet arrived.

Have you asked the post office?

There seems to be almost no way to reach a human by phone.

It's true. Calling a specific PO branch and reaching a person is almost as hard as canceling an AOL account.

I tried to call too, but no humans available, guess I'll go in to the new place and wait in line to ask the question., mailed something in the Ricarlton boxes just yesterday.

I have no first hand knowledge (but since when does that stop someone from posting on MOL, lol), but I would think that if the USPS was no longer collecting mail from these boxes, then the boxes would either be removed, or the slots covered (with maybe a sign) indicating that mail was no longer being collected from the boxes.

That's what the customer "service" rep I finally reached in Tucson had to offer. If it looks like a mailbox, it probably is a mailbox. Probably.

Yes! Dd dropped some thank you cards in, and they've been received. This was last week.

They remove mailboxes that are no longer in use. But think of it this way...if they weren't picking up from the mailboxes in downtown Maplewood - how long would it take before they were overflowing? Probably just a day or two.
