Pruitt Out!

Did he know he resigned?

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

There's a soundproof telephone booth for sale - cheap.

Lovely.  Now, Trump might stumble across somebody who will continue to gut the EPA while avoiding scandals.

So what swamp creature do we get next?

Reported that nominee to replace him is a coal mining lobbyist.

Yippee !

Pruitt was such a disaster it’s hard to even make a joke about him. So glad I don’t have to see his smarmy mug anymore.

Not sure.

The deconstruction will continue under someone who may be more capable and under less scrutiny.

Have you seen the resignation letter?? https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/read-former-epa-chief-scott-pruitts-full-resignation-letter

Mr. President, it has been an honor to serve you in the Cabinet as Administrator of the EPA. Truly, your confidence in me has blessed me personally and enabled me to advance your agenda beyond what anyone anticipated at the beginning of your Administration. Your courage, steadfastness and resolute commitment to get results for the American people, both with regard to improved environmental outcomes as well as historical regulatory reform, is in fact occurring at an unprecedented pace and I thank you for the opportunity to serve you and the American people in helping achieve those ends.

That is why it is hard for me to advise you I am stepping down as Administrator of the EPA effective as of July 6. It is extremely difficult for me to cease serving you in this role first because I count it a blessing to be serving you in any capacity, but also, because of the transformative work that is occurring. However, the unrelenting attacks on me personally, my family, are unprecedented and have taken a sizable toll on all of us.

My desire in service to you has always been to bless you as you make important decisions for the American people. I believe you are serving as President today because of God’s providence. I believe that same providence brought me into your service. I pray as I have served you that I have blessed you and enabled you to effectively lead the American people. Thank you again Mr. President for the honor of serving you and I wish you Godspeed in all that you put your hand to.

Your Faithful Friend, Scott Pruitt

Ah hah. So its our fault for making those personal attacks on Pruitt. And apparently you can do anything you want as long as you do it in the name of God. Our side has to revamp our messaging. Who knew DJT was ordained as the new Messiah.

 Maybe not among Trump's followers.

However, Pruitt know why he was let go. His letter is just a continuation of look how we conservatives are persecuted by evil media, nasty uncivil liberals, etc.

He might have missed the part where Laura Ingraham was saying it was time.

Former??  What makes you think he has or will stop lobbying for the coal industry?

Fortunately, utilities in the U.S. continue to replace coal generation with gas or wind generation facilities and there isn't much Trump can do about that.

 Well, actually, he can:

President Donald Trump on Friday directed Energy Secretary Rick Perry to take "immediate steps" to bolster struggling coal-fired and nuclear power plants to keep them open, calling it a matter of national and economic security.

The directive comes as the Trump administration considers a plan to order grid operators to buy electricity from coal and nuclear plants to keep them open. The plan would direct regional transmission operators to buy power from coal and nuclear plants for two years to ensure grid reliability, "promote the national defense and maximize domestic energy supplies.

It makes economic sense to replace coal with gas and probably wind. But they're going to forced to buy and keep coal then the economic incentive is gone.

Ho can he force them? Is that legal? Not that it matters to him ...
