Out here in the Perimeter: A new game

OK, so here is how this game I though up works (it's probably not original, by the way).  You begin a famous song lyric (any genre), but don't finish it.  The next person finishes it, gives as much detail as possible, then posts a favorite lyric of their own without finishing.  Anyone game?

"Out here in the perimeter, there are no stars......"

I know I've started to think about leaving tonight,

although nothing seems right in cars

Wait! You need to finish the one I started, like this........

"......out here in the perimeter, we is Stoned...Immaculate"

Jim Morrison, The Doors, Stoned Immaculate.

Then I would leave another one, but I'll do yours to keep things rolling -

Here in my carI feel safest of all  - Gary Numan, Cars

I don't understand. Are the lyrics supposed to be connected somehow?

No, you give the beginning and the next person has to finish, credit the song and start another one.

OK, I'll start another - you finish, credit it and then leave another.

"I can't seem to face up to the facts......."

"I can't seem to face up to the facts......."

"I'm tense and nervous and I can't relax"  Talking Heads, Psycho Killer.

New song:

"Take me now baby here as I am...."

"...pull me close try and understand" - Because The Night, Patti Smith

New Song:

"No more time to tell how, this is the season of what........"

Now is the time of returning with our thought
Jewels polished and gleaming.

from "The Eleven," by the Dead. I LOVES me some LIVE DEAD. I could tell you stories. (BTW, that song is in an 11/8 time signature.)

New lyric:

Now the road to Acapulco is very hard indeed
And it isn't any better if you haven't any weed...

(Please do and now you 'need' to also speak to where those lyrics are from - which are religious on many levels both literal and metaphorical)

"Henry's driving hard and straight
On twisty mountain roads
There's fifty people waiting back
At home for Henry's load" - Henry, New Riders of the Purple Sage

I was going to go obvious, but decided to go a little obscure -

"Don't know where to run to
Don't know where to hide......"
