music in the air...midland park area

So mr. dk and I are sitting here being serenaded by beautiful music coming from somewhere in the neighborhood. No clue where though. And we have a debate whether it is jazz, big band, or some type of fusion.

Are we the only ones hearing the show?

There was something going on at the gazebo last night. Maybe it was from there.

Thanks jasper, but the Springfield gazebo's too far for us to hear. It's definitely coming from a nearby house, and it usually lasts till around 10.

As for the musical style debate, my amateur opinion is that it's bebob jazz. It's the same type the entire time, and I don't think a big or swing band would fit in a house around here. Also, the music is too syncopated to fit the standard arrangement of those styles.

If nobody's heard it, keep your ears peeled next Friday night.

I heard it. I wanted them to turn it down.

Was it near Richmond/Summit?

We're near Warren, doubt you'd hear it down there but who knows!
