Wouldn't be a Porchfest without a Big Train closing set...

Here's a Google map link to the map and schedule of performances for Porchfest

The map and the schedule can also be found at

https://maplewoodporchfest.com/

Click on the numbers for the addresses of participating porches along with the performers and performance times. The map also includes the locations of our lemonade stands for charity and the honk parade as well as public bathrooms. A laminated version of the map and schedule with announcements will be prominently posted at each of our porches at Porchfest. Don't want to use a digital map on event day? By Friday, there will be a pdf version available to print out if you so choose. Happy Porchfest planning!

Look for more info about the event to be posted here and on the website later this week, including suggested routes, covid protocols, and other details.

Tomorrow is the big day-visit the website posted above for all sorts of info, including the schedule (which  can be accessed digitally from your phone). There will be signs with the schedule posted throughout the neighborhood as well.

With so many choices of porches/performers there are a few smaller routes you can check out  if you wish

“Java & Jam” route #1: northern (Vermont/Tuscan/Burnett) end- park on Vermont or Tuscan or in the DeHart parking lot on Burnett Ave.- grab your Joe at 7-11 (or lemonade at 34 Tuscan!)- check out young talents in The Baker Street Trio and the talented teachers in City Roots; the big names Jack & Jay, Jordan Hawkins, Mike Choi, and DJ Mike; plus so many others!

“Java & Jam” route #2: southern (Indiana) end- park in the parking lot at Springfield Ave. and Prospect St. or on Indiana or Ohio - enjoy coffee and baked yummies from Three Daughters at the General Store Cooperative or anything to go from the Park Wood- check out Aoma's soothing cello or fiddlin' by the Squirrel Hunters, Mark Goldberg and Eli/Allison for kid-friendly entertainment, and so on and so on...

“Java & Jam” route #3: eastern (Jacoby, Hughes, Porter, Field)* park anywhere around Bread Stand - on Hughes, Menzel, Jacoby- grab your coffee (and bread!) and check out the groups here: Blue Sphere, Springwood Jazz Trio, Syzygy, BSG3 for top-tier jazz; Bone Daddy, The Lovehandles, Stage Fright, Loose Panic for the best rock grooves!

Of course there are a lot of choices for rockin' out-see the schedule!

With close to 60 acts and over 35 porches there could be some last second shifts. The digital schedule on the website will have any changes

Covid guidelines (from the town and reflecting state guidelines): Being mindful of those in our community who cannot get vaccinated, please maintain social distancing. We encourage vaccinated people who feel more comfortable to wear their masks to continue to do so. We encourage people who are unvaccinated to continue to wear masks. (This statement is posted prominently on the schedule and on the website)

Looking forward...

Great job to all who organized another great Porchfest - Hilton really is the perfect neighborhood for such an event!

A smashing success, in my humble opinion.

Well done to everyone that organized and played today.

Thank you so much to the organizers, performers, porch lenders, and others who made this a perfect afternoon.

Thanks to all the organizers! Thanks to Mayor McGehee for a wonderful introduction! And thanks to all of YOU who showed up to hear Big Train's set.

We LOVE this event. We're honored to have been part of this from the beginning and we hope that we get to play Maplewood Porchfest for many more years.

Thanks,

Big Train

Porchfest took place Sunday 9/5/21 from 1:00-5:00 (from first post) - you missed it.  It will be back next year I'm sure.

Are you saying ALL those performances occured on 1 day?

I thought so many events were scheduled over several weekends.  That's why I asked for the dateS.
