Male Singer looking for a woman to sing with

Hi, I am a baritone looking for a female singing partner - open ended as far as the goal of this, but I would like to sing some harmony with someone.   If we sound good together we could look for gigs at bars, homes, coffee shops or sing in churches or whatever makes sense.   I have a piano, electric piano and karaoke.  I would also be happy to go to any practice location that works for you    I can accompany some music on keyboards.   A cappella is fine too.   If you are a good keyboarder, guitarist or other instrumentalist even better.   If interested PM me and we can talk on the phone and/or meet for coffee or something in town and see what is what.

Figured I'd bump it and give it another try.. Must be some singers around here looking for a venue

What kind of music?

If you know of anyone who might be a fit for this concept and they happen to be in NYC or a bit farther away don't be shy in forwarding this along.   Thanks.

I would have loved this if I still lived in NJ, but I am in central CT now. I love very few things more than singing in harmony, and I sing with a couple of choruses here.

Thing is, I wonder how many women might be a little worried about this kind of invitation. "Come up and see my etchings" and all that. NOT that I think you have any bad intentions, but a lot of women might prefer to err on the side of caution.

Do you currently sing with any groups? That might help you meet women who sing and you could get to know someone you could sing with in an easier way than a blind intro online. Just a thought?

I did just join the Gotham Rock Choir and I may well find someone there.  But most of them are from NYC.    In this town it would be so easy to check references on a local like me - so I really don't "get" the problem you mention, even though I do get that generally it is an issue out there.

Come on, Man! You don't sound clueless, go to several church choir rehearsals just tryin' them out!

You might even find a group you wish to sing with or a director to learn from.

How many must there be in Essex County?  A message board?  Are you kidding?

Best Regards,

Ron Carter

I am on hiatus with church choirs at the moment - not going to go just to find a singing partner and then bail.

Your op is one of the creepiest I have ever encountered on MOL.

Really? Anyway, the person is looking for someone to sing with.

"Your op is one of the creepiest I have ever encountered on MOL."

Really??  How about giving someone credit for trying to follow, and nurture a passion of theirs. More people should take Anthem's lead!

I will up the ante -  For a serious candidate I will meet you to discuss the idea of singing together at Lorena's for dinner.  I will buy and bring the wine.

Strange to say, I met Bikefixed and his lovely wife after Bikefixed and I decided to meet with another person I had also never met to sing Christmas carols in the train station. Although, to be fair, we had exchanged many messages on MOL first.   Now, they are among my closest friends. You never know.
