Bernie was asked about that by George Stephanopoulos and said that he's going to have Larry at his next rally since Larry does him better than he does himself.

He's great but the skit - meh.
OMG I thought it was brilliant! I laughed my butt off through the whole sketch. I thought it was the best I've seen them in a very, very long time. I hope this means Larry David will reprise his role in future shows.
Even funnier is that the Sanders campaign posted the sketch on Facebook--but they cut out the last line (about being Hillary's v-p).
I'm a big LD fan, but playing a cranky old raspy NYC Jewish guy? C'mon. Where's the Bernie impersonation in this?
Right up there with Tina Fey's Sarah Palin. Loved the Sanders portrayal.
Larry David as Bernie Saunders was an inspired bit of stunt casting that led to a couple of chuckles. The sketch itself was as dumb and unfunny as one would expect from SNL, comedy's most dated, irrelevant sacred cow.
I think this cast and the current crop of writers is extremely talented. They go right for the spirit of who they're poking fun at, instead of just mimicking. Webb's "give me one right between the eyes." Bernie's "I don't even have a backpack." Hillary's "It must be nice to scream and cuss in public." Chaffee's "It was really cool to be here." The weakest ones were O'Malley and Anderson Cooper, probably because they were going for the mimick.
