Over the years I have seen them at the SAGE Resale Shop in Summit and at the Junior League Thrift Shop in the same town, so those might be worth phone calls for you, and I realize you can't wait until the summer, but for anyone stocking up on crafts supplies (knitting, crochet, paper crafts, fabric, you name it), the Morrow Turnover tends to have a great selection at rock-bottom prices.
Same here -- I only use circular needles now, and would be happy to donate some nice metal straights. Please PM me!
Let me know if you still need knitting supplies. I’m cleaning out my MIL’s condo, and have a whole bunch of knitting supplies that I can either give to you or bundle for donation elsewhere. (PM me, but put a note here or I may never notice the PM!)

Do you have any old straight needles, sizes 7 - 10.5, that need a new home? I am teaching knitting to children for whom purchasing new needles might present a challenge. I would be more than happy to pick up your needles that you no longer [or ever] used; wooden, plastic and metal all appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
