Inconsequential Chat

Gevald!  I've just realised I've posted another CAT photo.  I mean, after all, isn't that what the internet was invented for?

Let me make up for it now ... dogs rule!

Meanwhile, staying with the animal kingdom, although this one might be considered closer to home.     grrr

Another interweb theft...

I can identify with this...

And we did it loud and proud...

That’s cleverly compiled cheese

For us old radio jocks.  This is good   smile

Social distancing and CPR training working together...

Testing the new file attachment capability...
(Edited to add:  This is part of something I recorded in November 2009.)

Yes, he really does sound like that! Even in person!  grin (A warm voice like a big hug)

An oldie but goodie.

Vive la résistance!

Self-quarantine.  Social isolation = a good opportunity to pick up new skills.

 Where are you seeing that?

on an ad for some coffee whitener which appears repeatedly. It's presented as a good thing.

Yeah, we don’t seem to do that here; I could only find a reference to triple-churned butter from New Zealand that was 18 years old. Maybe my search wasn’t right, or maybe our food safety advertising Standards are tighter?

Ye gods!   It means they've added extra air, which you'll pay for in one way or another!

That looks like it would be well worth a visit.

Coincidentally, San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge has also begun to 'sing' after a design change...

Have you listened to it?? Can you imagine cycling along that bridge with that noise inside your helmet?? Bonkers!

9 Fun Facts

(There were 10, but the tenth didn't make sense, was not a fact, nor was it funny)

1. You can't see your ears without a mirror.

2. You can't count your hair.

3. You can't breathe through your nose, with your tongue out.

4. You just tried no. 3.

6. When you did no. 3, you realise that it is possible, only you look like a dog.

7. You are smiling right now, because you realise you were fooled.

8. You skipped no. 5.

9. You just checked to see if there is a no. 5.

Hope this doesn't produce a frequency of resonance like the Tacoma Narrows Bridge in 1940!

Look at that!  They had social media in those days - someone was there, filming it as it happened!

Listen for yourself:

there’s a twitter clip of someone on the far left (cycle path?) and it’s really loud and spooky

That is very creepy, especially with how far away from the bridge it can be heard!

I wonder if the pipes can be 'tuned', and then have some mechanism attached such that pedestrians (or cyclists) can 'play' them?
