Unplug it, let it sit, reload paper, plug it in again. No one fixes printers.
Thanks for these posts! I don't think my cats are responsible for this problem but they have wreaked havoc on printers of the past. I am going to run it over to Ralph at One Stop and see what he has to say. He motto is "never throw out anything" before bringing it by, and I have done well by him.
Please say hi to Ralph for me! We had a lot of dealings when I lived in Maplewood.
That Printer Brat clip is great!
Ralph at One Stop is truly an unsung treasure of a resource.
Lastly, since current printers are often unfixable, Essex County Electronics Recycling is this Saturday and for the two towns on June 9 in Maplewood.
if its small enough, turn it upside down and shake it, when it happened to me, something had fallen in the paper slot.

Smart!
Screen says it needs paper but paper is loaded. Printer is about 3 years old. Otherwise works fine. Can't see anything wrong when I look for a paper jam. Where can I take it? Thanks!
