Has anyone visited Mexico City recently?

If so, how was your trip?  Any safety concerns?

We went for Christmas in 2015 and loved it. Fascinating city and no safety concerns whatsoever. Stayed in Roma Norte (fantastically beautiful and old world), and visited the Centro Historico, Condesa, Polanco and Coyoacan, and felt very safe in all.  We also took excursions out to Teotihuacan and Xochimilco. Size of city is staggering, throngs everywhere, selling stuff on the streets, including amazing food.  Exotic and familiarly European simultaneously.

My sister works in international relations. She and people from her office are there all the time. No special worries.
