The shelves are getting pretty bare, but they have some terrific deals, including a ton of halloween candy...8 days til they close.

I was there last night...down to 20% or so of stock, but I was able to make my urgent run for bread, juice and milk. Most things (other than milk, dairy and produce) are at least 25-30% off, with some as much as 60% off.

Even with the slightly high list price on some items, this makes for a few pretty good deals (roughly comparable to shopping the sales at ShopRite, CVS etc).

The market is operating rationally...there won't be many crazy low deals, but there are values to be had if you enjoy shopping an emptying store. I was just glad to get my staples without having to go elsewhere, since I hadn't had time to do my main grocery run.

Since I was at CVS anyway, I stuck my head in this morning. Everything is 80% off, and there is very little left, all clustered at the front of the aisles.

Having said that, at 9:30 AM, here was my haul:

- 3 packages Dorot frozen seasoning cubes (2 chili, one grilled onion)
- 2 Four-packs of gel food colors
- Combo pack of Halloween cupcake decorations (4 little jars)
- Box of marzipan (8 oz)
- Jar of dill pickles
- 4 packages of dog treats (Purina, Iams, Milkbone)
- Grand total $10.07 (for 12 items)

Not enougn left to merit a special trip, but possibly a few great deals if you are passing by anyway.
