Thank you.

Hey... how are the new digs?

(And thanks, Lost.)

Come visit and play a little golf. Only approx 100 courses within 45 minutes, and each one is nicer than the rest. We've got plenty of space, 1-1/2 miles to beach and a small lake ( with gator) in the back yard.

Paradise it would seem.  Good for you guys.  Next time we’re heading south I’ll give a ring.  Say hi to Judy for us.

Where are you, Dennis?

you guys actually think Trump is getting through this?

I thought this thread was to be about politics, not chit-chat. ;-)

The DNC leadership is blowing it.  Is there a strategy for the midterm elections?

Do you think people who are interested in these topics are not actually interested in politics?

 So, say something about Politics.

Unprecedented turnout at the monthly training for new deputy voter registrars in San Antonio. About 150 people each at the morning and evening sessions. They were turning people away at the door. No way to be sure of everyone, but it looked and felt like an extremely Democratic crowd.

Try watching Ted Cruz campaign videos on YouTube. Morose little groups of angry Trump supporters. I've been to wakes that had more energy.

Beto's gonna win.

I hope Beto does win as much as I hope Cruz loses.

And I hope both happen even more than that!

Plus we'll have owned Texas, as the kids say.

Of course not. So what do you think about yesterday's results?

I think the strategy is to not have one Central National strategy but rather let local candidates develop whatever strategy they think will win in their particular Districts or States.

Well, I cannot imagine a scenario where Cruz loses that doesn't involve Beto winning.  And I sure am pulling for (and financially supporting) Beto!

Tulsi Gabbard -- courageous antiwar leader in Congress, defender of the environment, Medicare, Social Security and civil liberties.

Tulsi for President 2020. Especially from 8:00 min.

I would vote for Tulsi.  She would make me want to get off the couch and vote Democratic.

I just read an infuriating article in the NYT addressing Pelosi and Democratic house leadership.  Of course there is pressure for new leadership, as the Democrat party faces change.  I am all for new leadership.  I personally think she has not been at all dynamic.  There is a push within the party for African American leadership.  I'm good with that.  What I am not good with is that 1) she thinks that she shold return as leader if the Dems take the house and gradually transition to someone else, and 2) the Black Caucus is pushing Jim Clyburn of SC as a replacement.  Another long term office holder, another older politician, more of the same old leadership.    These older leaders need to pay the price for how ineffective the Democrats in the house have been.  Incremental change is not good enough.  Read the damn tea leaves.  Large parts of the electorate want to reach for the stars, even if we fall short.

Barbara Lee, an African American, would make an excellent replacement for Nancy Pelosi and she would push the Democrats in a positive direction.

I wasn't going to watch the entire video of Tulsi. She had me when she began by thanking the hotel workers who make the beds and serve the food.

Most "Liberal". It's a little dated but Grijalva is Number 1.

Agree 100% that Pelosi should step aside asap if Dems take back the House.  More of the same old crap is not what we need. I wish she would step aside now as minority leader.

I do not disagree that it is time for the old timers to make way for new leadership but Nancy Pelosi was very effective when she was Speaker. She was responsible for passage of the ACA.

The Right does not hate her because they think she was not effective.
