flu shot

I don't have a PCP. Anyone know where to get a quick flu shot?

CVS, Walgreen's, Rite Aid.

I got mine at rite aid and with my insurance covered it.

most if not all pharmacies do it...might only have certain hours with a trained pharmacist or might not be able to do it when busy....I tried CVS minute clinic a couple years ago...you had to get there 2-3 hours ahead of time, sign in and wait...pure nonsense. Then I needed to go to urgent care for another matter and asked for one and they claimed my insurance wouldn't pay for it there, so I didn't get it..they were wrong...

I got mine at Rite Aid. It took less than twenty minutes and it was covered by insurance.

I got one at Target two or three years ago. I don't recall if insurance covered it or not, but it was quick.

I've tried the CVS minute clinic for a few issues over the years and have never had less than an hour wait, wasn't seen, or was told they couldn't address my issue. I have never ONCE had a successful CVS Minute Clinic visit. I don't even bother now, I just go straight to SMG Urgent Care.

Walked into CVS on So Valley, filled out paperwork and was out in 20 minutes. Insurance covered it all..No co-pay

The CVS Minute Clinic addresses health issues so you're going to wait. For an adult, no need to go to a Minute Clinic for a flu shot (for a child, different story.) In fact, I'd recommend against it for an adult. Just go to any CVS pharmacy without a Minute Clinic. I always go to Millburn because its convenient. Usually in and out in minutes and insurance covers it.

I got mine at Target, which is my usual pharmacy.

Most pharmacies offer flu shots and if your pharmacy is in your insurance plan, it should be covered.

had one at CVS on Morris in Springfield, right at the pharmacy drop off counter; they processed the Flu shot through pharmacy benefit card; they had a tiny area sectioned off with privacy screen where the pharmacist administered the shot; walk in; the pharmacy does not administer the shots to anyone under 18

So for kids I made online appointments at the minute clinic at the same cvs and had the shots there ; the longest wait is for the insurance info to be typed in;

I understand that the Minute Clinic addresses health issues, but the wait times were ER worthy, the name "Minute Clinic" is very misleading. I wasn't saying it wasn't worth going there for the flu shot, I was saying it isn't worth going there for anything.

One time our son got sick, pediatrician was on vacation, covering pediatrician was out of network and refused to see us unless we paid cash up front even though we have out of network coverage. We then went to the Minute Clinic with our sick child, we waited close to an hour trying to keep our grouchy two year old from going nuts, only to be told that they couldn't treat him, I can't remember the reason why. This visit was the only time we've ever actually been "seen" in a minute clinic. We were able to find a different pediatrician who saw him even though we were patients of theirs and got him a script for amoxicillin for a simple ear infection.

Another time we showed up, I can't even remember what for, saw how long the queue was in the computer system, turned around and left.

The last time I was having weird sensations while breathing, like I couldn't breath even though I knew I was breathing (as my color and ability to speak were good I recognized that this was NOT something that needed to be seen in an ER, but was something that needed to be seen that day). Again, 45+ minute wait, only to have the woman come out and tell me that she is about to go for lunch so I will have to wait another 90 minutes to be seen. I went to SMG Urgent Care was taken in in less than 10 minutes.
