Fios:: how do I get rid of the subtitles?
The * button on the remote control is the "on" "off" switch for subtitles
In the event bub's suggestion didn't work, look for the closed caption button on your television's remote.

On our TV/FIOS set up, the closed captions control is under "options" on the remote control - after you push that button, a pulldown menu appears on the screen and you can turn the captions on or off. I use them a lot for BBC period dramas!
On our remote, the CC can be turned on and off by hitting the asterisk that is on the left side of the zero.

somehow subtitles appeared on every channel and I can't figure out how to turn them off. Any suggestions?
