FIOS + FireTV ???

This morning I installed a new TV for a senior household.  TV was ordered by an out of state relative.

Household has FIOS.  I got the TV on the network, but can't access any regular channels.  TV requests an Amazon account set-up, which will not happen in this case.

Any solutions (other than returning the FireTV, and getting a standard TV)?

When you say they have FIOS, do you mean they already subscribe to a specific FIOS TV channel lineup?  If not, you either have to subscribe to one of their TV packages or "cut the cord" and get streaming TV which is what we do.

If there isn't going to be an Amazon account, return the TV and get something like a Samsung or Sony. Dont get one with Roku either, that also requires you to create an account.

Do they have a Fios STB?

They had 2 TVs in the house.  Internet & basic TV package is provided by FIOS.  I have no idea which package, probably the most basic (they watch the regular TV channels, primarily FOX).

Being on very limited budget, there is no $ for 2nd provider.  The objective is to hook up a 2nd TV to run on what they already have.  I had never even heard of Fire TV, so didn't know whether this was achieveable or not.  From above, I understand it is not.

Fire tv is pointless without an Amazon account. It sounds like they're not using streaming services.

Do they have a Fios STB or TV adapter?

Well, while I was asking questions, the homeowner called ATT.  Somehow they talked her through doing some programming on the TV, and it now works as a regular TV.
