Walked the High Line in 2017, and took a photo of something weird being built in NY
This one is of The Edge, the observation platform that is part of Hudson Yards.
I also liked the line-up of trains.
Jack, those are terrific pictures you took, but man, that Vessel is one ugly mutha! A sad waste of structural steel. I know the architecture critics have been ripping it a new one, but frankly, they really understated the ugly factor. Yikes!
OTOH, the Edge is a very classy piece of geometric style.
The photos are beautiful.
But Hudson Yards is a wasteland. Construction sites, a mall, and tourists. A Duane Reade opened recently and there was great rejoicing. When a new pharmacy is a reason to celebrate, that says a lot.
Did you try to get the selfie everyone takes in that blue circle at the bottom level?

Yes. As you can see by the fact that it wasn't posted, it didn't work out too well and the circle was crowded. So I abandoned the effort.
