Did u pay carpet installers to move furniture?

Replacing carpet in a couple of rooms and the quote includes $50-$100 to move the furniture per room.  Is this standard now?  Been at least 10 years since we did this.

I have been putting off replacing a carpet due to my inability to move the furniture to enable removal of the old carpet and laying of the new.  It is nice to know that this option now exists.

I don’t recall paying extra but it’s also been a few years.

I replaced my carpet in the master bedroom last year.  I went through home depot and got free installation and that covered moving the furniture.  I think that is standard with Home Depot.  The employee of HD who came out to measure the room told me they would move the furniture for me, and that employee didn't know what deal I was given. 

I believe HD is running the same deal for certain carpets.  If so, compare the prices on one of them with free installation vs a carpet that doesn't include installation.  Some times its cheaper to pay for the installation.  Good luck and let us know what you decided.
