Bald Eagle at Orange Reservoir - near Turtle Back

Not my photo, my brother's; thought birders might be interested~ Saturday, October 15, 2016.

Wonderful. I visited the Raptor Trust recently and marveled at the size of the bald eagles. I hope they find a niche and hang around.

Oh, my goodness. Magnificent.

Thank you for posting!

By now, there are in the neighborhood of 300 of them living in New Jersey. This is based on the N.J.D.E.P. report several years ago of 60 nesting pair = 120 birds. Add their offspring over the years and we will be seeing more and more of them.

Fantastic photo. Sorry we missed seeing it when we were there that day.

Looks like an almost fully mature eagle at that! Awesome news!

Beautiful! So glad they are no longer on the endangered list.

Great site for eagle lovers. I followed the nesting pair in Washington, DC this past winter and spring.
