B-52's

NYT:  “Air Force commanders are now urging the Pentagon to deploy B-52s in Syria.”

The B-52 is now sixty-years-old.  I recall a news account about the bombers’ runs over Afghanistan. Civilians on the ground spoke about the psychological impact of it.  They could see the contrails very high in the sky – I think at 50,000 feet – and they knew it wasn’t going to be good.  China was recently irritated by the presence of B-52's near their pop-up islands in the South China Sea. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/nov/13/us-b-52-bombers-flew-near-disputed-islands-in-south-china-sea-says-pentagon

he's actually 64.

First off, I do like the B-52s.  That first album(the yellow one) is particularly awesome.

More importantly, I think its interesting to contrast the American reaction to gun violence here, with the lack of understanding how things like the OP might radicalize others against us.

And to take it a step further.  It's even more interesting that as people are radicalized and commit these acts, our reaction tends to be even more of what the OP outlines.

I believe that the band is the greater threat to conservative and radical Islam than the bombers.

What a stupid idea.  Anyway, last I saw, the Air Force is expending precision-guided bombs faster than they can be produced.
