Auto insurers

Geico just triple my price so I am looking for a new insurance company - does anyone have any recommendations

I actually just switched to Allstate for both my homeowners and auto insurance. My current homeowners (MetLife) wanted $100/year more for my new house down the shore and with Allstate, that insurance will be $550 less per year. I decided to bundle the auto with the homeowners and my Maplewood car premium is $160 less (for six months) than what Geico is charging me, and it will be $200 less (for six months) when I move. Win-Win! The agent I'm using is in Flemington but I did everything by phone and e-mail. If you want his info, PM me.

House Auto what? Progressive, if you have access to NJM, its very good. I have seen many post that Chubb is great. I have FMI for House, and Andover for coop I own - They are well rated and found reasonable for rates.

Amen. NJM is not That good any longer. Neither is USAA. NJ is expensive for insurance. Period.

Call a good broker and price it out.

Sadly, Chubb is crap, too, these days. They used to be the "Rolls Royce" 10- 15 years ago or so. Learned that the hard way, after paying triple the premiums for 12 years for Masterpiece Deluxe blah blah coverage (auto, home, valuables, umbrella) that my friends have paid and get treated just as poorly as they have if you actually need touse the insurance... My recommendation is to shop around and save your money.

see if your employer has a group rate discount - that helped me when Geico did the same thing to me last year. This year I switched to liberty mutual for both home and auto. A little more expensive than my last good year with Geico but affordable.

I've used NJM for years. Nothing but good to say....
