Ariyoshi

Last week I called to order sushi and the message was that they were closed due to "structural damage"

Today I heard that a car had hit the restaurant (couldn't help overhearing a loud-talker at the gym).

Does anyone know what happened and when it will reopen?

According to an article in Village Green, a car plowed into the side of the restaurant near the Sushi bar.  Nobody was hurt but damage to the restaurant was significant.

The driver indicated that their brakes failed, and they tried to stop the car by driving into a snow bank... but ended up going over the snowbank.

Should that happen, downshift to first gear.

I saw an announcement that Ariyoshi would be reopening tonight.

New definition of "Drive-thru window".

That SOAve hill would benefit from an I-70 style runaway ramp.

Childhood memory about those runaway ramps, a story I have never forgotten. Family friends were on a road trip and to prank the children, the dad pretended the brakes didn’t work and drove up into one of those…not realizing they were a soft surface (maybe sand?) to slow the vehicle and that they’d end up needing to be towed…
